"As a physician, I've always been drawn to the specialized practice of caring for the skin. I see each person's skin as their canvas. A great work of art can only be achieved when you begin with the best canvas possible."
Dr. Alice Cohen knew as a child that a career in medicine would define her future. Born in Illinois to an Air Force Officer, she enjoyed an unconventional childhood living in Europe and throughout the United States.
Graduating with honors from Wichita State University, she earned her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, Kansas City, MO. It was in medical school she met her husband, Dr. Randy Cohen. Following a three year Family Practice Residency at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn, MI, she attained her board certification and worked as an emergency room physician. She actively practiced family medicine in Lancaster County for twelve years, including a three-year teaching appointment for family practice residents.
During these formative years, Dr. Cohen became increasingly fascinated with the newly emerging field of Aesthetic Medicine. She left family practice in 2000 to intensively study this scientific approach to image enhancement. Dr. Cohen feels priveleged to have spent the last seven years practicing aesthetics; enabling patients to match their current appearances to their desired images, to look as good as they feel, and to reap the benefits of boosted self esteem is a daily gratification. Through the Randali Centre, Dr. Cohen has achieved her goal in studying medicine: helping others feel better.
