The Digital Pulse Analyzer (DPA)
Are You At Risk?
Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is the number one killer in the United States. But did you know it is also one of the most preventable diseases? More than 62 million Americans are living with heart disease, stroke and other related diseases and over one million will die of CVD this year alone. For many, their first symptom comes without warning…and results in death. The major culprit of most heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases is the slow, silent, steady build-up of fatty plaque deposits within the arteries. When one of these vessels narrows and oxygen-carrying blood flow is reduced, a health emergency occurs.
The DPA accurately measures the elasticity of small and large arteries and provides critical information regarding arterial aging. The DPA device is FDA-approved, non-invasive and can provide results in minutes. Accumulating evidence suggests that abnormalities in the pulsatile characteristics of arteries occur early in the disease process and are associated with increased cardiovascular risk. However, this risk can be favorably modified by therapeutic interventions if detected early: DPA testing can help reduce cardiovascular disease (CVD) through timely detection. Early detection and intervention of CVD can decrease its annual economic burden of approximately $298 billion dollars. More important however is the prevention of CVD sudden death – a tragedy that ends a life – and alters families forever.
