Kybella Treatment for Double Chin

Did you know that about two-thirds of us are bothered by submental fullness? Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occuring bile acid responsible for the break-down dietary fats in the body. When this is utilized to treat the fat of a double chin, Kybella dissolves  the adipocytes (fat cells) permanently.  As shown in these before and after pictures, you can really see the difference Kybella can make.

Treatment is quick and simple: A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and when numb, several superficial Kybella injections place the medication into the unwanted fat.  Swelling is to be expected and redness, and bruising are possible but all are transient and resolve within 2 – 3 days.  The results evolve gradually over the next few weeks and dependent upon the amount of fat to be treated, more than one treatment may be required. Because the fat cells themselves are destroyed, the resolution of fat is final.
